I am a member of On Purpose Networking for Women. I usually attend a couple of the Connections Over Coffee meetings each month. Last week I went to the meeting at Bliss Cafe and Wine Bar. (An absolutely wonderful place in Harford County by the way – if you like jazz they have well known acts on Saturday evenings.)
As part of my public relations work on the wonders of thrift shopping, I give away as a door prize something I have thrifted that will appeal to a large segment of the attendees. Last week it was a 33″ square silk scarf from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It is beautiful. Blue background with what appear to be oriental lanterns and flowers. The price? $2! I washed it without any damage so the recipient can do the same and does not have a free scarf with a big cleaning bill in the future. I’ll keep you posted on upcoming give aways. There are so many treasures waiting to be thrifted.
