I get most of them at Joann’s. Also Michael’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. Once in awhile Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I just bought a red felt heart placemat at Home Goods that I am going to use for a Vday door decoration.

This idea came just in time!! I just went through my cards thinking it was a shame to file them in the recycling bin !! And this year I had to run out and buy gift tags —
Now I’m going to fish them out of the recycling, make tags and pack them away with the Christmas stuff, and feel good about being green!!

I love this suggestion for recycling greeting cards.

I was thinking about also reinventing the greeting cards by cutting in half, gluing a blank piece of paper on the wrong side and using them again as a card or notes to send thru snail mail

I do think wrapping paper is a waste even though its pretty. I like giving gifts in a gift bag and I used to use the Sunday comics to wrap gifts but very few newspapers now have Sunday comics.

If there are LED tealights they might be bright enough to shine through the holes in the tree. Or a string of miniature lights that could be put inside. Possibilities.

WOW — looks a lot better all white .. the color makes him look old fashioned, and the white brings him up to date.
One could always add some color back by using a colored battery tea light.
