Valentine’s Day Door Decoration

I always like to have something colorful on my front door. And I get tired of wreaths. I like graphic, simple things on the door.

Since it is the 3rd of Feb it was time to remove the beautiful and ornate Christmas wreath that my neighbor made for me in exchange for all of the greenery he wanted from my somewhat overgrown garden.

Making the decoration I bought a heart shaped plastic placemat and attached a dowel with clear packing tape. I wrapped florist wire around the dowel before I attached it. See the pictures.

This makes a very simple statement on my blue/purple door.

Yes that is snow in the picture. I am ready for spring.
